Accessibility Statement

Sensory Play Studio is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or the technology used to access it. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Accessibility is not an afterthought for us — it is central to our brand values. Sensory Play Studio was founded to be inclusive, and we want our digital presence to reflect that same commitment.

We have taken the following steps to improve the accessibility of our website:

• Colour contrast: our colour palette has been designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios throughout — primary text, interactive elements, and status indicators all exceed the 4.5:1 minimum ratio.
• Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements — links, buttons, forms, and navigation menus — are accessible via keyboard. Focus states are clearly visible.
• Screen reader support: we use semantic HTML5 elements, ARIA labels and landmarks, and descriptive alt text on all meaningful images. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Reduced motion: animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion CSS media query. Users who have requested reduced motion in their operating system settings will see minimal animation.
• Touch target sizes: interactive elements meet or exceed the recommended 44×44 CSS pixel minimum touch target size to support users with motor impairments.
• Plain language: we use plain English throughout the website. We avoid jargon and explain technical terms where necessary.
• Skip links: a "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
• Form labels: all form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels. Required fields and error messages are communicated clearly.
• Responsive design: our website adapts to all screen sizes, from mobile phones to desktop monitors, without loss of content or functionality.

Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are working to address the following known limitations:

• Framer Motion animations: Some page transitions use Framer Motion animations. We respect prefers-reduced-motion where possible and are continuing to audit all animated components.
• Third-party map embed: The embedded Google Map on our Contact page may not be fully keyboard-navigable. A full address is provided as a text alternative.

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following browsers and assistive technologies:

• Google Chrome (latest) with NVDA or JAWS screen reader
• Mozilla Firefox (latest) with NVDA
• Apple Safari (latest) with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
• Microsoft Edge (latest) with Narrator
• Chrome on Android with TalkBack

We test our website on current versions of these browsers and screen readers. Older versions may not be fully supported.

The accessibility of our website relies on the following technologies:

• HTML5 — semantic markup for structure and meaning
• WAI-ARIA — where HTML semantics are insufficient, we use ARIA attributes to communicate state and relationships to assistive technologies
• CSS — styling and layout that degrades gracefully
• JavaScript — progressive enhancement; core content and functionality is accessible without JavaScript where possible
